DOM GIBBINGS
My absolute passion is teaching diving. Whether I’m training beginners or professional level divers, I love getting others excited about diving and marine life. Teaching a wide variety of courses is the secret to keeping the passion alive.
When I learnt to dive in 1992, some of the teaching techniques were questionable at best! (I’m happy to share more at the pub.)
In 2003, I changed my life and moved from London to Dahab, where I became a PADI Pro.

Exactly 7 months ago I came to Dahab to finish my Open Water course... and now yesterday I became dive instructor with my lovely buddy Tricia thousands of thanks to the best diving team ever, amazings course director, staff instructor and instructors Dom, Alex, Frank, Tamer, Shrif, Jaimie, Kathrine and other Incredible divers Mohamed, Ibrahim.
After spending many years diving and slowly working my way up to Divemaster I finally took the plunge and decided to do the IDC. My personality requires an instructor who is calm, friendly and patient. Someone who allows you to mess up without the fear of intimidation and shame in the debrief afterward. I passed all aspects of the IE first time with flying colours and this was a result of my instructor Dom and the fantastic support staff he had on his team. Would highly recommend it!
