We are committed to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. We want to be as clear and open as possible about what we do and why, which is why we go in-depth below to explain what we collect, send and use your data for and what your rights are.

Currently, IDC DIVE does not actively collect personal data through this website.

We have removed contact forms and do not request or store your name, email, or any identifiable information through the website.

THIRD-PARTY TOOLS

We no longer use:

  • Contact forms
  • Google Analytics
  • Any other form of third-party advertising or analytics services

Some basic services like WordPress core features may still load fonts or assets (e.g., Google Fonts), which may involve limited IP address communication. These do not track you or collect personal data.

EMAIL COMMUNICATION

At IDC DIVE, we treat all email communications with the same level of care and security as any other personal data. Any information you share with us by email (including names, contact details, or booking inquiries) is treated as confidential. And, of course, we do not share, sell, or forward your personal information unless legally required or you have given explicit consent.

STUDENT TRAINING RECORDS

Following PADI standards and legal obligations, at IDC DIVE, we are obliged to retain all student training records for 7 years from the date of course completion. We securely retain the following training documents for each student:

  • Course documentation (e.g., PIC forms, eLearning records)
  • Liability releases and assumption of risk forms
  • Medical statements and physician clearances (if applicable)
  • Knowledge reviews, quizzes, final exams
  • Confined and open water evaluation records

After the 7-year retention period, all student records are securely deleted in line with data protection best practices.

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Your information stays with us — private, protected, and only used when absolutely necessary.

Your rights under GDPR

We do not collect or store personal data via this website, there’s currently no personal information to request, correct, or delete.  If you ever do contact us directly (e.g., by email),  you still have rights under GDPR, including the right to:

  • Access – Request a copy of your data
  • Correction – Request updates to inaccurate information
  • Deletion – Ask for your data to be deleted (unless we must retain it legally)
  • Withdraw Consent – Opt out of previously agreed uses (e.g., marketing)
  • Objection – Object to data processing under certain conditions

Information security

We take data protection extremly seriously and implement appropriate security measures. Here’s a checklist of our key security measures that we use to ensure the confidentiality of your data:

  • IDC DIVE website has https (SSL/TLS Certificate) that encrypts data between our website and your browser and prevents data interception.
  • All our emails are stored on secure servers with strong encryption protocols.
  • All emails and student records are stored digitally in a secure environment with restricted access.  Devices and accounts used to access digital copies of our data are protected with strong passwords and, where possible, two-factor authentication (2FA)
  • We regularly monitor for suspicious activity or unauthorized access.

IMPORTANT: while we do our best to protect your personal information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is ever completely secure.
