OWSI Program

Once you are an AI or are an instructor with an agency other than PADI, take the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Course.

We will prepare you to be a first class PADI Instructor.

During this second part of the IDC, you will learn to manage and adapt the PADI system of diver education to individual student needs. And remember that you need to successfully complete the IE after attending the OWSI program to get certified as a PADI instructor.

Instructor Examination (IE)

After the IDC, PADI instructor candidates must attend and successfully complete a PADI Instructor Examination (IE). The IE is a 2 day exam in which candidates are evaluated on their diving knowledge, skills and ability to deliver teaching presentations in the classroom, confined water and open water settings.
